چکیده

We describe the dynamical mass generation in pseudoquantum electrodynamics (PQED) coupled to Gross-Neveu (GN) interaction, ($2+1$) dimensions, at both zero and finite temperatures. start with a gapless model show that, under particular conditions, dynamically generated emerges. In order do so, we use truncated Schwinger-Dyson equation, large-$N$ approximation, imaginary-time formalism. instantaneous-exchange approximation (the static regime), obtain two critical parameters, namely, number of fermions ${N}_{c}(T)$ coupling constant ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{c}(T)$ as function temperature cutoff $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}$, which must be provided by experiments. regime, find an analytical solution for $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}(p,T)$ well zero-external momentum $p=0$. continuum theory $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}=\ensuremath{\infty}$, where scale-invariance is respected, it shown that has any value $\ensuremath{\alpha}$. Furthermore, after calculating effective potential PQED, prove energetically favorable comparison massless phase. compare our results numerical tests good agreement found.

Dynamical mass generation for fermions in quenched Quantum Electrodynamics at finite temperature

We study the dynamical generation of masses for fundamental fermions in quenched quantum electrodynamics (qQED) at finite temperature in the bare vertex approximation, using SchwingerDyson equations (SDE). Motivated by perturbation theory, a further simplification is introduced by taking the wave function renormalization to be unity. In the zeroth mode approximation, the SDE for the fermion pro...

Two-dimensional Gross-Neveu Model with Wilson Fermion Action at Finite Temperature and Density

The 2-dimensional Gross-Neveu model[1] has often been used to examine theoretical issues of QCD. This stems from the fact that the model not only shares the property of asymptotic freedom and spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry with QCD, but also can be solved analytically in 1=N expansion. In this article we present a summary of an yet another study[2] of this category. The problem address...

Lee-Yang edge singularity in the three-dimensional Gross-Neveu model at finite temperature

We discuss the relevance of the Lee-Yang edge singularity to the finite-temperature Z2-symmetry restoration transition of the Gross-Neveu model in three dimensions. We present an explicit result for its large-N free-energy density in terms of ζ(3) and the absolute maximum of Clausen’s function. The Gross-Neveu model in d = 3 dimensions provides a remarkable example of a second order temperature...

Dynamical Mass Generation in a Finite-Temperature Abelian Gauge Theory

We write down the gap equation for the fermion self-energy in a finitetemperature abelian gauge theory in three dimensions. The instantaneous approximation is relaxed, momentum-dependent fermion and photon self-energies are considered, and the corresponding Schwinger-Dyson equation is solved numerically. The relation between the zero-momentum and zero-temperature fermion self-energy and the cri...

Variational solution of the Gross - Neveu model at finite temperature in the large N limit

Variational solution of the Gross-Neveu model at finite temperature in the large N limit. Abstract We use an improved nonperturbative variational method to investigate the phase transition of the Gross-Neveu model. It is shown that the variational procedure can be generalized to the finite temperature case. The large N result for the phase transition is correctly reproduced.
